Statement on the death of Ralph Winter

Dr. Ralph Winter, perhaps more than any other person in the last fifty years, shaped the way we view the Great Commission.  His landmark address to the Lausanne Congress on World Evangelization in 1974, his visionary founding of the U.S. Center for World Mission, and his enormous contributions to the widely acclaimed Perspectives course and resources will impact world evangelization well into the future.  When this self-effacing servant of Christ spoke, the reverberations were felt around the world.  All Christians owe Dr. Winter a debt of gratitude for his faithful, intelligent, and highly innovative commitment to Christ, His kingdom and His commission.
